Armadillidium vulgare is abundant and active as both a soil and surface dweller. Populations thrive in moist climates and damp soils. Armadillidium vulgare can be found in locations with a standard Mediterranean climate or in temperate agroecosystems.
The order is a mix of sizes beyond the first molt.
